Community Bank of Tri-County Supports the Southern Maryland Mission of Mercy

Waldorf, Maryland, April 18, 2012 - Community Bank of Tri-County is proud to announce its support of the Southern Maryland Mission of Mercy. Through its sponsorship, Community Bank of Tri-County will help provide funding for the two-day dental clinic in June.

"We are pleased to support the Southern Maryland Mission of Mercy, an organization that provides dental services to those in our community who need it most," said Bill Pasenelli, President and Chief Financial Officer of Community Bank of Tri-County. "Our monetary donation is an extension of our gratitude and support to those dental professionals and volunteers who work together to help improve the health of our community."

The Southern Maryland Mission of Mercy is a group of volunteer dental professionals and community volunteers who come together to hold a free, two-day, dental clinic for adults in Southern Maryland who do not have dental insurance. The clinic provides services ranging from preventative dentistry and cleanings, to restorative fillings and extractions. This years’ clinic will be held on June 22-23 at Chopticon High School. More information about the event can be found online at www.southernmdmom.org.

"We sincerely appreciate the donations given to us by businesses in Southern Maryland, like Community Bank of Tri-County. For every $100 donated, we can provide up to $700 worth of dental care, per patient. The Southern Maryland Mission of Mercy anticipates servicing close to 500 patients during the event, and the monetary support from the community makes it possible to provide patients the services they need to stay healthy," said Garner Morgan, DDS and Mission of Mercy volunteer.

Community Bank of Tri-County is the oldest independent financial institution headquartered in Southern Maryland with eleven branches and over $900 million in assets. Community Bank of Tri-County branches are conveniently located throughout Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary's counties in Maryland and in King George, Virginia.
