Community Bank of Tri-County Donates to Spring Dell Center Through Casual for a Cause Program

Waldorf, Md., September 4, 2013 -Community Bank of Tri-County is proud to support The Arc of Southern Maryland, Cedar Lane Senior Living Community, Spring Dell Center and the King George Food Bank through participation in the Casual for a Cause program. Casual for a Cause is an annual program designed by Community Bank to help support local organizations while allowing employees to dress casually during the summer.

"This is the ninth year Community Bank has participated in Casual for a Cause and I am pleased to see the generosity of our employees," said Michael Middleton, Community Bank of Tri-County Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. "This year we raised $6,000. Each year, we look to our Casual for a Cause program to help bring our employees together with a common goal of making a real difference in the communities we serve. This is a great way to encourage our employees to give to a good cause."

As in years past, any employee who participated in Casual for a Cause by making a donation was entitled to casual dress for the three month period from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Community Bank of Tri-County's mission is to exceed the expectations of our community, today and tomorrow; Casual for a Cause is just one way to fulfill that commitment.

"Spring Dell Center was elated to hear we had been chosen to be the recipient of the funds raised from Casual for a Cause," said Donna Retzlaff, Executive Director. "We are so excited to know that Community Bank and the employees were eager to support individuals with developmental disabilities. It is collaborations such as this that make what we do at Spring Dell even more exciting."

Spring Dell Center, Inc. is dedicated to assisting individuals with disabilities in achieving their highest level of independence by providing support and opportunities for the quality of life they desire within their community. The Spring Dell Center, Inc. program started in 1967 and has since been serving the segment of the population that requires more specialized and intensive services.

Community Bank of Tri-County is the oldest independent financial institution headquartered in Southern Maryland with eleven branches and approximately $980 million in assets.
