Waldorf, Maryland, November 14, 2013 - Community Bank of the Chesapeake will be hosting their Third Annual Holiday Food and Toy Drive, November 12, 2013 through December 12, 2013. Non perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at any of the Community Bank branch locations.
"At Community Bank, we believe in the value of the community and making a difference. Especially during the holiday season, we are reminded of those in the community who need our support most," said Diane Hicks, Marketing Manager of Community Bank of the Chesapeake. "We are proud to be part of such a giving community and support the many organizations and their efforts to bring joy to families this time of year."
This year, food collections in Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's Counties will be donated to the Southern Maryland Food Bank and food collections in King George County will be donated to the King George Food Pantry. Toys that are collected in Calvert, King George and St. Mary's Counties will be supporting the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program and toys collected in Charles County will be donated to the Children's Aide Society. Anyone wishing to help make a difference in the life of a child or family in our community this holiday season by making a donation is invited to stop by any Community Bank of the Chesapeake branch.
