Horses are majestic and beautiful animals! The Freedom Hill Horse Rescue is dedicated to rescuing horses from neglect, abuse, abandonment and slaughter. They work to restore respectful horsemanship, the heritage of the horse and educate the community about horses and proper care. If you have a love for horses, make an appointment to visit Freedom Hill Horse Rescue and meet the sassy and sweet horses they have on board. In this week’s Friday Focus we caught up with Lori Harrington, President/Treasurer of Freedom Hill Horse Rescue and learned about their horsetastic events they have coming up!

Bello Machre provides lifetime care for those with developmental disabilities in Maryland, helping over 100 children, adults and families in their own homes, 200 people in their 60 homes and providing continual support to the community. The Charles County Children’s Aid Society was founded in 1934 by a group of compassionate women who saw a need in the community. The organization has continued to thrive and grow over the years, working to improve the quality of life for struggling families within Charles County. The Children’s Aid Society provides a food pantry, clothing, baby and household items along with holiday assistance to thousands of families. In this week’s Friday Focus, we caught up with Danielle Wilmoth, Executive Director, and discovered the generosity this organization provides all year long.
