The Easter Festival has become a staple of the Southern Maryland community every Spring and features egg hunts for all ages, photos with the Easter Bunny, amusement rides, live entertainment, free arts and crafts, egg decorating contest, face painting, and goods and services for sale by local area vendors. This rain or shine event is open for the entire community.
For a $5.00 fee, attendees can participate in the egg hunt, have a photo taken with the Easter Bunny and enjoy local music and fun entertainment. Additional fees apply for amusement rides and various food vendors will be onsite.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Recreation & Parks main office Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

This event is open to the public. Two movies will be shown. Both are true stories focusing on non-fictional characters that have disabilities who overcame obstacles and achieved their goals with hard work and determination.
Representatives from the St. Mary's County Health Department's Resource Coordination Program, Pathways Incorporated, Southern Maryland Center for Independent Living, Hearing Professionals and Southern Maryland Community Resources will also be present to share information concerning available programs and services.
Special accommodations will be made to ensure this event is accessible for those experiencing a disability. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to contact Monika Williams, Maryland Access Point Coordinator by March 27, 2015 in order for reasonable accommodations or auxiliary services to be made.
The hope is that this event will bring the community together for disability awareness and to provide information about available services.
