Availability of Funds and Collection of Checks

February 25, 2010

We are pleased to inform you that the Federal Reserve has completed the restructuring of their check processing centers and have now merged to a single location. As a result of this change, every check that you present for payment or deposit will be considered a local item, regardless of the location or routing number information printed on the check. What this means for you is that the funds from checks deposited into your account will be available in a more timely manner and can be accessed sooner than in the past. Please keep in mind that this also means that checks written against your account will be treated as local item, therefore clearing your account more quickly than in the past.

Please see our current Funds Availability Disclosure for further details regarding holds and exceptions that may apply to checks you present. We thank you for banking with us and look forward to continuing to serve your banking needs. If you have any questions regarding this notice, please contact your branch manager.
