On December 19, 2013, Target announced a system-wide data breach that allowed extensive access to its payment card data. The breach has affected over 40 million Target customers who made credit or debit card purchases in a Target store between November 27 and December 15.
As your bank, we are committed to safeguarding your financial information and use our best efforts to secure your information. If you have a compromised card, you will be receiving a new card from Community Bank within the next 10 days. Please activate your new card as soon as possible, but no later than January 10, 2014.
If you have a Target Red Card linked to your Community Bank account, you must contact Target at 866-852-8680. We are unable to assist you with their debit cards but can assure you that your Community Bank account is not impacted.
